I have always had a passion for the prevention of disease, wellness, and helping people with their weight. During my 12 years of experience as a family medicine physician, I found myself more and more passionate about helping those who struggle with their weight. Time and again people would tell me they were eating healthy, going to the gym, but the weight just won’t come off. In some cases, they would continue to gain weight. This led me to learn more about the disease of obesity. I joined a national organization, Obesity Medicine Association, which provided extraordinary educational materials, and I became Board Certified in Obesity Medicine. The more I learned, the more I knew that this is what I was meant to do.
I pride myself on forming strong patient relationships. By listening and learning about what makes each individual unique, I am better able to help treat and manage their health conditions. It is no different with weight. By treating overweight & obesity, I can help you to either improve or prevent the development of diabetes, high blood pressure, acid reflux, depression, anxiety, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis,……. the list of conditions is long.
